YOGA AS MUSE Facilitator Training

with Jeffrey Davis

(16 hours) Extension E-Course: May 31-July 23, 2010

(57 hours) Residential Immersion: July 31-August 7, 2010 in Rosendale, NY

(12 hours) Long-Distance Extension Program: August 9-September 15, 2010

YOGA AS MUSE is a natural way to integrate the tools and wisdom of Yoga with creative, literary, and personal writing. Yoga As Muse Facilitator Training is designed to equip participants with the tools, techniques, resources, and qualities necessary to share the Yoga As Muse wisdom with others. This training draws upon and deepens but does not substitute for a yoga teacher training. It specifically shows teachers how to help students deepen their writing process, hone their writing craft from a soulful and authentic source, and live a creative life off the mat. We are thrilled to offer it.

Author, creative writing teacher, yogi, and international workshop leader JEFFREY DAVIS will teach the eight-day, 57-hour residential immersion and facilitate the 28-hour extension program.

PRE-REQUISITES: Students must have Yoga Teacher Training Certification, be in a yoga teacher training program, or must apply for an exception. Since the training accommodates a variety of yoga traditions, students and yoga teachers of all backgrounds are welcome. Students also must have evidence of a active writing or artistic practice.

Schedule Outline & Topics

THE TRAINING is composed of an eight-day 57-hour immersion and an 28-hour extension preceding and following the immersion. In the 57-hour immersion, class time is balanced between teaching by Jeffrey and practice teaching by students. Passive lectures will be kept to a minimum to assure active learning and assimilation. The additional 28-hour extension will include additional readings, writing, journaling, and mandatory participation in a Yoga As Muse e-course in June and July 2010. A take-home exam will be administered during the extension period. Upon successful completion of all requirements to be assessed by Jeffrey the student will receive a Yoga As Muse Facilitator Training Certificate from Center To Page, LLC. This certificate qualifies the student to use the Center to Page and Yoga As Muse names and materials in promoting and facilitating their own classes and workshops. The certificate also qualifies them to participate in the Yoga as Muse Facilitator Support Network (which includes conference calls with Jeffrey and additional website support and exposure from Center To Page, LLC).

After the first year, certified facilitators may qualify to continue participating in the Yoga As Muse Facilitator Support Network at an additional fee.
