Breath and body wed imagination and intellect in this dynamic series based on Jeff Davis’s The Journey from the Center to the Page (Penguin 2004). Learn how simple yogic principles & practices help you concentrate, trust your authentic voice, and write with an engaging style.
For writers of all genres and backgrounds, we will explore
*how a three-fold writing process seamlessly weaves yoga principles and practices into your writing practice;
*how to engage the body & breath strategically for your own writing needs;
*how to access surprising, rich, and appropriate imagery & detail for your writing;
*how to enter your writing with heightened concentration and from your center;
*how to write into and toward the truth (and tell-tale signs that you're avoiding it);
*how to write with compassion for complex subjects and difficult characters.
