Titles of tree trunks let silence seep in Staccato calligraphy of southbound birds resting on the back road wire The percentage of thoughts not scribbled -- glittering mica wafting to the earth Tiny worlds shaken from a lake-wet dog A hiccup of wishes before the phone is raised “Now” is a fillagree of curling smoke before the wind gust Stay awake.
