Creative Hermitage  October - February
	Hermitage During the fall and winter, Jeffrey is in hermitage with his own practice. October 19-26, the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York, has granted Jeff an Artist-in-Hermitage Residency to give him exclusive time to focus on his work. From Dec. 29-Jan. 20, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts has given Jeff a Fellowship to focus exclusively on his work. He also works one-on-one with a few writers on their projects, process, and career.

	The Writer's Sword: Active Compassion for Mature Writing   What distinguishes a mature writer from an immature one? What quality can transform a self-absorbed memoir into a complex & compelling one?
